Hello all, I saw a class combine these two strategies together and thought it was excellent.
Start with SMART goals then move into Vision Boards based on goals students have set.

Pre questions before setting SMART goals:
- What is goal setting
- hat are your best qualities?
- What are you good at?
- What are your interests?
- Who do you admire, or consider to be a mentor? Why?
- What would you happily do for free? (aka volunteer)
- List three employable qualities you possess?
- Who are apart of your support team?
A question for after setting the smart goal:
- List obstacles that may come up and things you can do to overcome the obstacle.

Before making vision boards, students stand in a circle, close their eyes and visualize the boards.
SMART GOALS and Vision Boards are uploaded to electronic portfolios.
